Today I would like to revisit the topic of Systemic Coaching, Talent-Centered ©, and dive a bit deeper with you into a talent's fields of development. You will surely still remember last week's example, in which I illustrated the interplay between the social elements.

Let me repeat the key message from that once more:

Although at first glance it may not seem as though the impressions and experiences of a social element have an effect on the talent's development, a closer look reveals that this can very much be the case, since, consciously and unconsciously, they directly and indirectly influence all communication within the talent's environment and have a multiplying effect.

If you have any questions or comments on this, feel free to let me know.

But now to today's deeper dive: the fields of development.

Drawing boundaries between these areas seems trivial at first, even considering that the time invested in one area comes at the expense of one or both of the others.

Less obvious is the fact that problems in one field of development have an immediate effect on the others. In practice, however, this is easy to recognize: if there are difficulties with friends, that has consequences for concentration when studying for school, or when performing an exercise during football training.

The crucial question in connection with the fields of development, however, is that of the optimal balance at the talent's respective stage of development.

We often tend to give far too much attention to football-specific development far too early. Anyone who would like to examine the facts on a scientific basis, I may point to one of my posts in which I raised the question of the purpose of NLZs (youth academies). There you will also find a link to an interview with Prof. Arne Güllich.

And finally, when we dig one layer deeper into the fields of development, the complexity and relevance of various topics reveals itself to us.

For example, in the field of personal development we find topics such as spirituality, education/emancipation, self-confidence, mindset/attitude, body awareness/eating habits, and healthcare/medical support, just to name a few very important things. All of these topics are significantly shaped by our social and cultural environment, and in turn shape the path of the football talent.

Without wanting to overstate these topics or unnecessarily complicate them, I consider it sensible to take a conscious, somewhat detached view and approach to managing them. This provides clarity on the one hand, and hopefully also composure on the other, once one becomes aware that not everything can be achieved at once.

WITH CLARITY AND COMPOSURE TOWARD OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT

Until then! Stay healthy, and always a good match!
